| A STAR IN THE MAKING AS SQUAMOSA MAINTAINS HIS UNBEATEN RECORD Exciting 2 year old colt SQUAMOSA (Not a Single Doubt-Class Success) was ultra impressive in winning the 1,400 metres 2 year old race at Randwick at his second career start. Gai described him as "an impressive colt, who has so much talent." SQUAMOSA jumped quickly, settled outside the leader, raced to the front at the turn and careered away to win by 3 lengths with Nash easing him down. The merit of the win was highlighted by the fact that the colt was stepping up from the 1,150 metres of his first race win, to 1,400 metres at his second start. At the same time, he displayed great acceleration on a particularly heavy winter track. SQUAMOSA will now most likely head to the Run to the Rose at Rosehill before hopefully a Golden Rose start on 28th August. When we bought SQUAMOSA at the 2009 Magic Millions sales for $140,000, we thought he was a lovely type but needed a little time to mature. Clearly the wait was well worth it. Congratulations to the winning owners Jeremy Tan, Gillian Tan, Grace Wong Exciting colt Squamosa in full flight... Three year old Savabeel filly Avec Mon Ami (NZ) won her second race start and now has a metropolitan race on the agenda, when next time at the track. Her Kembla Grange win over 1,600 metres was particularly eye catching as the filly was caught wide for the first couple of 100 metres and then had to work to take up a front running position with jockey Mark Newnham stating "she was never going to be beaten today - she always had the race under control". He also commented that without doubt, Avec Mon Ami (NZ) is the most improved filly at Tulloch Lodge. The first foal of the very good race mare With My (by Covetous), Avec Mon Ami (NZ) has furnished into a lovely, strong 3 year old staying prospect. Her loyal band of owners travel as far as from Perth (WA) to watch her race, and Avec Mon Ami (NZ) has already given them some great fun at the races. Congratulations to the owners Astrid Woods, Lex Kingdom, Michael Szczesny, Steven Zorbas, Greg Kolivos, David McDonald, Craig Thompson, Bella Fortuna Syndicate (Mgr Adrian D'Ambrosio)
**************************** WARWICK FARM WIN FOR ANTIGUAN AT HIS FIRST METROPOLITAN APPEARANCE In the words of jockey Nash Rawiller 3 year old Danzero gelding ANTIGUAN appreciated the 1,600 metres and the larger Warwick Farm track to win in very strong fashion at his first attempt in the metropolitan area. Gai had reported that the gelding had been working in terrific fashion and he raced right up to his strong track work over the past couple of weeks. ANTIGUAN looks to be a promising middle distance performer in the making. Congratulations to his winning owners Rob Woods and Astrid Woods, Cyril Maloney, Annette Wilberforce, Paul Brown, Mark Gibson, Chris Scrivener, Paula Screnci *************************** A FABULOUS WIN BY FUSAKEO ON THE KENSINGTON TRACK Photograph courtesy of Mark Bradley Photography - 0412 335 103 A wonderful well judged front running ride by jockey Nash Rawiller enabled 4 year old gelding Fusakeo (Fusaichi Pegasus (USA) - Miss Jakeo) to win in dominant fashion over 1,800 metres on the Kensington track at Randwick. Easing to the lead shortly after the start, Fusakeo was always in control and won like a horse which relished the trip. For his first attempt over 1,800 metres, Fusakeo seemed to well and truly enjoy his day out, scoring his 4th career win from 13 starts.

Not only is she a Randwick winner and 2nd in the Group 2 Angus Armanasco Stakes at Caulfield to Set For Fame, but GIGAS is also currently the highest BOBS earner in NSW this season with an additional $60,000 in bonuses won by the filly. We are all very anxious to have her back in training at Randwick, hopefully for the latter part of the spring.
********************************************** 5 GROUP 1's FOR THE GREAT THESEO Our great warrior THESEO continued to perform at the top level with a magnificent win in the Group 1 Ranvet over 2,000 metres at Rosehill, a race he also won in 2009. The 6 year old gelding goes from strength to strength and his Ranvet win takes his prize money to just over $3 million, made up of 10 wins including 5 Group 1's in a stellar race career, which hopefully has some way to go yet, hopefully in Melbourne in the Spring. Ongoing congratulations to the THESEO owners.

Highlights of THESEO'S 2010 Ranvet Win

Photographs courtesy of Mark Bradley Photography - 0412 335 103 A MAGNIFICENT PERFORMANCE BY THESEO AND NASH RAWILLER TO WIN THE 2010 GROUP 1 CHIPPING NORTON STAKES AT WARWICK FARM. It was a tremendously hard fought win by THESEO in the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes over 1,600 metres at Warwick Farm, and a fantastic ride by Nash Rawiller after the gelding was headed by Rangirangdoo in the straight. Gai had decided not to proceed with a Spring campaign last year as THESEO needed time to recover from a foot injury, and as always her decision paid handsome dividends for his owners on Saturday, when he scored his 4th Group 1 win and took his career earnings to $2.7 million. THESEO will now head to the Group 1 Ranvet, a race he won last year. Congratulations again to all the THESEO owners. It was another most memorable day at the races. Reflections of the Group 1 Chipping Norton win.
