Hi all,

 

Yesterday I took Theseo for his first training/competition day and we both had an absolute ball.

 

It was held at Berrima on a property where they hold many events, one of which is coming up in June that we will be competing in.

 

Yesterday involved a 2 1/2 hour lesson in the morning with a professional cross country instructor, Peter Gillis. After a rest, a feed and chill out time it was time to put everything that he has learnt so far into practice. The event consisted of 23 jumps spread out over hill and down dale in a course length of 2264 metres.

 

Theseo was amazing and came 3rd from 38 starters in his event. It was a fantastic effort considering he hadn't been off the farm since he arrived here last year and the course was quite challenging for a horse that had never been around a cross country course!!! So proud!
