Our best staying prospect in years wins again

2012-05-09 (Latest News)

Rockafellacenre (NZ) continues to impress as a quality staying type who is still learning to race. His win at Newcastle over 1,850 metres was particularly eye-catching, as the gelding dictated the speed in front after relaxing well for jockey, Jason Lee, and he fought off challengers late to win well, albeit by a narrow margin. Jason commented "he went terrifically well. He is still very immature and has a lot to learn, but he is a serious stayer in the making". This was Rockafellacentre's second win from only three race starts to date.
