Darci Drama (NZ) overcomes a heavy track for a big win

2012-06-13 (Latest News)

Three year old Darci Braham (NZ) filly, Darci Drama (NZ), defied the opposition and the heavy track to win when resuming at Kembla Grange. The filly jumped on terms with the field and was ridden to stay in touch with the leaders by Neil Paine. She settled fifth and when asked to quicken she challenged the leaders, three wide on the turn. Darci Drama (NZ) was then taken very wide in the straight, letting down strongly over the final 250 metres to win by 3 and a half lengths. Neil commented that she was very strong to the line and relished the rain affected track. He also thought that she had plenty up her sleeve!

Congratulations to the winning Darci Drama (NZ) owners: Mr Drew Tanner, Mr Stewart Barton, Mr Allan Bandy, Mrs Donna Love, 2 Weeks Syndicate (Manager: Ms Margaret Butler), Mr Jeremy Tan.
