Teardrop Rock sold at William Inglis Broodmare sale

2012-06-28 (Latest News)

The very much loved Teardrop Rock (Fastnet Rock - Satin 'N' Silk (NZ)) was this afternoon sold at the William Inglis Broodmare sale for $125,000. I'm sure all of her owners, and certainly everyone at the stables, were thrilled to learn that she will go to DGR Bloodstock on behalf of Dato Tan Chin Nam's Think Big Stud in the Southern Highlands of NSW. A decision has not been made on her first season mating at this stage.

Teardrop has been a favourite for some time, not only because she was a talented race mare, winning 5 times and running 3rd at Stakes level, but her beautiful grey colouring made her look very attractive on race day. Injury curtailed quite a brief career on the track and all of us would like to wish Teardrop Rock a wonderful life as a mum. We are sure that she will do an excellent job.
